The Weather Journal
FALL term
8 weeks
Wednesdays, 1-3 pm
Class size limit: 12
Look Up! It is intrinsic to our nature to pay attention to daily and seasonal climate shifts that happen in our environment. We see, feel, hear, sense and smell a change in the air. Explore a wide variety of techniques to capture these weather patterns for use in a weather journal. Layers of watercolor, graphite, and mark-making tools can quickly communicate the feel of wind, clouds, and passing storms over the ocean. Students will build a foundation for a continued practice and create a collection of various weather examples to use as references.
